We have been busy traveling in April and May to check out destinations in Spain that offer ideal cruising grounds for your next charter! At the MYBA Charter Show in Barcelona, we inspected dozens of yachts that are available for charter in the Mediterranean. While enjoying lunches on board and cocktails and canapes in the evenings I was able to experience first-hand the chefs creative cuisine, rate the five star services the crew provided, and see up close the  unique attributes each yacht had to offer.

The largest yacht in attendance was 231’ MY Indian Empress,  while 229’ MY Joy took the prize for best yacht in the show.  Joy has a basketball court on board along with many other amenities to compliment the luxury accommodations on-board. I had a wonderful lunch on board 183’  MY Ulysses and chef Ian on board MIRAGE also created an lunch to remember.  MY Majestic and MY Silver Angel had creative table top themes and the crew on board all yachts were very welcoming. 203’ MY Roma offered a tranquil-like pool on the sundeck and a great slide for kids and adults!

Barcelona is a beautiful city to visit, with amazing cathedrals and churches great parks, shopping, and museums..  La Sagrada Familia Carrer de Mallorca located in Barcelona is one not to miss,

Following Barcelona, we headed over to Palma de Mallorca, the capitol of the beautiful Spanish Island Mallorca, in the Western Mediterranean. Palma has been voted as the best place to live in Spain and is deeply enriched in culture and history.  It is right in the heart of the Balearic cruising grounds, and you can start here on your charter and follow the islands around to Ibiza, Menorca, and Formentera. This is a great area to charter in the summer months, and we have excellent yachts to personally recommend to you that can provide a memorable experience for you and your guests. This area is also fantastic for families as Ibiza offers castles, and pirate caves, horseback riding and more!

Spain is full of Unesco heritage and offers everything from historical sites, cathedrals, castles to beautiful beaches and Islands found in the Balearic Islands.
