Are you looking to spend Summer in an unspoilt paradise tucked away in the South Pacific? Look no further than The Solomon Islands. From diving, snorkeling, surfing, fishing, and breathtakingly beautiful scenery, it’s one destination we are totally swooning over for the Summertime. This tropical paradise is filled with rich culture, history, and some of the best dive sites in the world. Let us take you through a sample itinerary of this special place below…
First, arrive in Tulagi Island where the untouched beauty and raw landscape will take you back in time. Twin Tunnels, a famous dive site, is right outside of Tulago, it is home to many rich soft corals, mushroom coral, cuttlefish, crocodilefish and more.
The Florida Islands, also known as teh Nggela Islands, contain red tooth triggerfish, soft corals, and gorgonians. You may even spot some seahorses! The Mboli Passage itself is a must-see where it is lined with beautiful lush rainforest covering the hills and small villages under the palm trees. The passage itself contains an encompassing ship wreckage.
Experience Karamolun Island exuding with rich culture and witness traditional dances and learn about the daily family life. Under the sea, experience breathtaking sights of sharks, big eye jacks, and pelagic life off the point, as well as excellent shallows.
Barracuda Point at Mborokua (Mary Island) is home to an incredible array of marine life like schooling jacks in around 8 meters, sleeping white tip reef sharks in about 10 meters, and the larger school of barracuda in around 40 meters. This spot is an experience not to be missed for any diving enthusiast!
Covered in a lush rainforest, Uepi Island boasts some fabulous coastline complete with warm waters from the Marovo Lagoon on one side and the deep marine abyss of “The Slot” on the other. Explore approximately 100 little islands around and the inner lagoon by foot, kayak, or paddleboard
If you’re looking for something special to take home from your journey, we suggest picking up one of Mbulo Island’s carvings by the talented locals. It’s a great way to support the village while bringing a piece of their culture home with you.
Explore these fabulous islands aboard one of our favorite yachts, DRIFTWOOD, offering comfortable accommodations for 12 guests in 5 cabins. Her sun deck has a Jacuzzi pool and outdoor cinema, perfect for creating an unforgettable experience with your friends and family.
