Where the desert meets the beach….
Known as the Gulf of California, Mexico’s Sea of Cortez, is one of the richest body of water on the planet and is abundant with game fish, sea lions, and several species of whales. The Sea is a large aquarium – an outdoor playground – for adults and kids. Anchor out on one of the yachts listed here and enjoy the seclusion that Sea of Cortez offers. You can begin your charter in La Paz or Cabo San Lucas and it is a quick flight from California.
A sample itinerary for your trip (from the North side):
Fly into the Loreto FBO where the crew will pick you up and take you to the yacht. Sail to Isla Coronados and wake up surrounded by the peaceful blue waters. Take in some morning fishing or snorkel with the dolphins. Continue on to San Juanico Bay, one of the smallest bays protected. As one of the best bays in the Sea of Cortez there are amazing hiking opportunities here and elements of volcanic history to be found. The yacht will continue on to Punta Pulpito for an excursion toward the sea cave. Plenty of time for kayaking the waters or some diving. Each island you visit will offer a different piece of the Sea of Cortez paradise – from sea lions swimming to kayaking, snorkelling, taking the tender into the mainland, or just waking up to the peacefulness of the Sea and enjoying the tranquillity.
131ft MY KOMOKWA offers several water toys, fishing gear and snorkelling gear for 10 guests. The crew on this yacht is prepared to take you on an Adventure of a Lifetime.
If you are seeking a bit more action you can look at 272ft MY HERE COMES THE SUN, which starts the charter in Cabo San Lucas, where nightlife, golf vistas, charming shops, and cafes are waiting for you. MY Here Comes the Sun will cruise and anchor out in La Paz, the capital of Baja California.
