New England. What an amazing place to start a charter. Fresh, crisp, ocean air, waves smashing against rocks, and the smell of homemade clam chowda' and just baked - and stuffed - lobsta' rolls. You can't beat it! What would we recommend? How about starting your charter in Newport, Rhode Island, where the bars and nightlife is always alive, the restaurants are always packed, and the sailboats and yachts are always breathtaking to look at.

Whale of a Tail

Humpback Whales Nantucket, MA

~~Summertime blues?? It is not too late to include a luxury yacht charter in your summer portfolio.  Your choices are endless. For great cruising destinations close to home my favorite picks are a trip to Alaska, New England, or the Bahamas. The sun will continue shining and warm temperatures will carry on through October in the Mediterranean. Croatia, Greece, and Turkey are my favorite destinations in early fall. Speaking of fall, a trip on the Hudson offers colorful foliage and amazing sights that only NY can offer.

Inspection of Yachts in the Med

May is one of my favorite times of year. This is when I do my annual visit to the Med to inspect the yachts and meet the crew for the summer season. I flew into Nice, France  and then spent the weekend in Antibes.  There was a small boat show in Antibes which gave me a chance to spend time with  crew and catch up with  other industry related freinds. I met up with some Captains and crew with whom I had charters with to review clients preference sheets and review itinerarys prior to their arrival.

Loros Piano Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendevous 19-22 March 2014

Loros Piano Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendevous 19-22 March 2014

I have just returned from an exhilarating week in Virgin Gordan, BVI. We had spectacular sailing conditions fir racing and practice days. An international fleet of over 22 yachts competed in three days of racing. I was onboard 80' swan Alpina. Besides all of the racing, every night there were wonderful events including cocktail receptions at YCCS and a  dinner and dancing  at Oil Nut Bay on the beach. The latter was complete with fire dancers , and live music. Both yacht owners and crew danced the night away. Events even included a tug of war among racing crew.
